The World Mountain Running Association (WMRA) is pleased to announce that Klosters has been officially confirmed as the host venue for the 2027 World Masters Mountain Running Championships (WMMRC), to be held from 9 to 11 June 2027 in the Swiss Alps.

A journey built on legacy: from Canfranc to Klosters

The appointment of Klosters continues a strong and symbolic progression of recent and upcoming World Masters Mountain Running Championships hosts. Following the memorable championships in Canfranc, the event moves to Meduno, before heading in 2026 to Janské Lázně, in the heart of the Krkonoše mountains.

This evolving European pathway now culminates in Klosters in 2027, reinforcing continuity, tradition, and excellence within the Masters mountain running community.

The Organising Committee for the World Masters Mountain Running Championships (WMMRC) 2026 confirms that the official event website is now live and athlete registrations are open for the championship weekend in Janské Lázn, Krkonoše (Giant Mountains), 26–28 June 2026.
